Newborn Baby Essentials Checklist
A new-born baby grows very fast, and you don’t need to buy too many clothes, it will depend on the season, but you only need:
• 5 baby grows
• 5 bodysuit vests
• 5 Pairs of Socks
• 2 going out outfits
• Beanie to keep baby’s head warm
As your baby’s skin will be very sensitive, you don’t need any fancy toiletries. Babies can also be bathed in aqueous cream.
To be honest with my second child, we never used bum cream, and she is perfectly fine. No different to the first one where we religiously used bum cream. We only keep a small tub of bum cream in case of a rash
• Fragrance-free aqueous cream
• Gentle top to toe wash
• Cotton wool balls
• Small surgical spirits
• Nappies (disposable for newborn phase)
• Fragrance-free baby wipes
• Baby nail clipper/scissor
• Saline spray (for those little stuffy newborn noses)
• Pram or Baby Carrier
• Car seat
